Almost all of them are trying desperately to convince Guardian readers not to vote for Corbyn. :hehe:

It really is great fun this leadership race - easily my favourite thing the Labour Party has done since they got rid of that funny old man with the stick.

of the remaining hard left; under his banner he gathers the Greens, TUSC, Respect and CPGB.

Their numbers are legion, their intellect highly honed. They present a cedible alternative to reason and... no, hold on, that's all cobblers.

As you were.

article and contrast it with some of the comments in response.

If you want to know just how f**ked Labour is right now, it's all there, basically. :hehe:

the 'destruction' of 'Tory vermin'.

If those f**kers ever get a sniff of power they'll be opening KZ-Lager before you can say, 'Buchenwald'.

Who knew lefties are bad losers?

dribbling, easily-led morons. They believe absolutely that they are morally superior and refuse to believe that anyone might vote tory with the best interests of the country in mind.

In fact, Tony Blair was actually rather amusingly scathing about the idiocy of these people yesterday. Almost made me warm to oleaginous, lefty *******.

I do struggle with the idea that old Corbs is "hard left" though. They're making out he's Derek f**king Hatton for christ's sake. He's socially liberal and has some pretty interesting ideas on where the burden of the defecit should be shouldered, namely on the people who can actually afford to shoulder it, rather than exclusively on the shoulders of those that cant.

Personally, i think if labour had actually tacked left rather than tacking up their own arsehole, at the last election then their defeat wouldnt have been nearly so bad. They spent the last five years forming an opposition hardly worthy of the name and are in danger of doing so again, leaving us with only the scotch to call out the unfair, counterproductive nature of the current lot's poliicies.

public spending than either the Labour party or Lib Dems were proposing to?

One of the SNP's better coups has been to convince people they're anti-austerity on a number of headline issues while actually being nothing of the sort.

If you feel that the British public are aching to return to the good old days of the mid-70s, I respect your view, but would beg to differ.

I pointed out how much this country spends on public healthcare, welfare, education, etc and suggested that it was pretty much impossible to be a far right government even if you wanted to be, but he wouldn't have it. His logic was: Blair's government was centre right and this government was to the right of it, therefore it was far right.

What can you do with such people?

It's not about returning to the 70s or pushing forward to some great golden age where the faltering neo-classical economic view magically solves all of the problems it's been busily creating for the last 40 years.

than just a couple of isolated loonies.

If the republicans and the leftists actually had the balls to come out fighting and attempt to kill us or put us in their re-education camps, we could actually rid ourselves of them once and for all.

It'll never happen, though. :-( They're cowards to a man, and will probably claim that just because we've got the British Army on our side, it isn't a fair fight.

They've already had their settlement upped as a result.

At least somebody is in opposition to this quite frankly scary, regressive and hugely unfair government's policies.

I mean seriously, what was Harperson thinking with ordering them to abstain on that bill?

I do have to hand it to the Tories though, they've got their tactics spot on by crushing any and every possible opposition. I imagine they'll redraw the constituency boundaries after they've strangled the labour party of union funding and sidelined the kilt crusaders.

In no time at all the balance will be redressed and we'll be back to the early industrial revolution situation when the serfs really knew their place.

And is their competition to out**** each other an informal thing or is it centrally organised?

Berni

votes will give it 55 per cent of the seats - hence the disastrous 35 per cent strategy?

Seriously, there is no way you can argue that redrawing the boundaries is anything other than fair.
