It really doesn't matter if a 'journalist' types some words 'linking' us with a striker. It changes nothing.

Now. Consider this post on Facebook from an old friend who, I suspect, may have gone a little mental. This chap has real problems.

Sai Baba speaks on Jesus and speaks passionately about the Bible and manifests a small Bible, So why did Sai baba appear to me at the Alpha Course when they were speaking about Jesus? .Was it because Sai Baba knew that Jesus had recently spoken about him in Australia. Oh those Brutish Aussies so crass minded but is thee any truth in it? Was it all channelled by Sai Baba from a 6th Sphere person.Surely Sai Baba hasn't been downgraded has he? He is supposed to be reincarnating as Prema Sai has that been put on hold now...

How does one 'manifest' a small bible? Does it just pop out of one's ear or what?

In the traditional teachings of Vedanta, in the Upanishads, we speak
of three ways to know the Truth.
We say: “The Truth is learned in this way:
First, we must
hear
about It.
Then we must
think
about It, contemplate about It.
And third we must
meditate very deeply
about It.”
This is a very common practice - very traditional.

I quite liked Murder In The Cathedral. The rest is a sack of nonsense.

How can you not love the line

Let us go then, you and I,

When the evening is spread out against the sky

Like a patient etherised upon a table;

Let us go, through certain half-deserted streets,

The muttering retreats

Of restless nights in one-night cheap hotels'

? Hmmmm? How, dammit?

Sometimes, young man, I wonder if there's any poetry in your soul at all or whether you've killed it all with the maunderings of that huge-jawed New Jerseyite chap you like so much.

I would not seek to interefere with your enjoyment of it, and I wish you well with your soulless pretension and faux-intellectual snobbery.

I'm on hard routine. 3kg has crept up on me unannounced. I commenced hard routine on Sunday, now 1.3kg down. That's pretty quick, isn't it?

Mind you, I'm going to Brasserie Zedel this evening, and I intend to have a proper feed.

I just can't take the punishment of running every day - it was actually starting to hurt. I've slowed it down to roughly every other day now and feel much better. I also think I was genuinely too thin at my lowest weight. I looked a bit odd.

About half a stone up suits me, as well. Sadly, I has added this additional half stone without noticing. I got quite the shock when I found it.

My running is limited to everey other day. If I try to push harder than that my knee explodes and then it's a month off.

I'm just going to have to accept that I will never win a marathon.

against me as I try to mix it with people young enough for me to have sired them. :-(

Age really is a bit of a pisser, isn't it?

Are you some sort of greedy, grasping oh never mind.

Yes, it's spectacularly good value, I would say. The wine list even offers a highly swillable Gevrey Chambertin at under 60 pounds.

simulacrum of a Paris Brasserie. Although better and cheaper than most Paris Brasseries you'll stumble into.
