punch in, punch out. actually we're looking to shoot in the South, as in georgia, the carolinas, even texas. good tax incentives. also it's too damn cold in van over the winter, which is when we'd be shooting.

And no, Arteta is not ****, though he was carrying an injury when he played last season. He is now fully fit.

He is not feesically up to the challenge, I'm afraid. I assume that we only gave him an extension out of pity (see also - Diaby) and/or mascot purposes.

Ultimately none of us know how he will be used - sparingly in the event of an injury to or rest needed for Coquelin, or tactically more often in combination with Coquelin when his ever reliable passing and ball retention may be seen to be of premium value in which case then he can be seen as an alternative to Cazorla.

He has been one of Arsenal’s best, most consistent and most important players since he joined the club, so to discard him on the basis of a (very) below average season last year would be harsh, especially with him also being club captain which reflects his influence beyond the 90 minutes of play.

Perhaps we could or should have upgraded on him, no room for sentiment and all that, however to import a new or another player into what is already a hugely over-crowded area of the side could perhaps just cause issues we can do without.

Instead of worrying about Arteta I think as big an issue this season will be whether Coquelin can continue in his rich vein of form. The obvious doubts that the manager and his staff had about the player less than 12 months ago, can they really simply have just evaporated.

I get the feeling that he always felt he could dispense with the need for a defensive midfielder to break things up and do things his own way - a way completely different to our rivals.

However, when it became clear that we get completely outplayed against the bigger teams without a defensive midfielder, he suddenly saw the benefits of a player such as Coqulein.

I hope he does continue his form and we could potentially get away with beating the Bournemouths and the Watfords with Arteta and Cazorla/Ramsey/Wilshere in the middle. However, if Coq gets injured/loses form then what do you propose we do when we play United/Chelsea/City/Liverpool/Spurs?

If Arteta were club captain at most of the 'big' clubs then he'd have been phased out/would be being phased out by now.

Last season Coquelin was still deemed only fit to be loaned out and in fact was only called back from said loan when the straits became dire. There was no epiphany or re-assessment of Coquelin the footballer, he was called back as our need was desperate.

I don't think it is unfair to state that he probably would not even be in our employment any more were it not for the scenario above.

I don't think the situation is ideal by any stretch but I now assume in our obvious decision to not become involved with Schneiderlinn that we are sticking with our current hand. How we will cope is a complete unknown.
