That said, it did make you think that, if you're going to burn crosses, maybe polyester isn't the best material to make your robes from? Poor showing by the master race there, I thought.

I watched a documentary about the evacuation of Saigon, which was great but roughly as long as the vietnam war itself.

but before I did I chuckled at the wives who said that joining the clan had saved their marriage and then listening to the guy who had travelled hundreds of miles to the gathering and said that his wife didn't even know he was a member....

started the evacuation much, much earlier. After all, it can't really have come as a surprise to them that they'd lost the war, can it?

It seemed like it was mostly down to the ambassador not wanting to appear cowardly or put the ****ters up anybody.

That said, he seemed like an honourable and decent man, just one given an utterly thankless and basically sisyphean task.
