Not exactly forking out on proven world class talent so far.
You can make a case for the cut priced Pig Climber but he's injury plagued and has clearly moved for the pay day before joining the MLS.
Watch them cringe next season when Maureen develops Falcao and their new striker pairing take half a season to gel.

Arteta and Flamini make me very uncomfortable; given their age and lack of pace.
Chelsea and City will continue to strengthen. Hopefully, we'll bring in another player or two to build on a fairly settled squad in the ascendancy.
Not a priority but I'd like to see a top class left back come in. Gibbs is a bit of a worry and I'm not massively convinced by Monreal against the really top class sides.

Expecting a late swoop from the boss.

Mind you I was so busy chuckling away to myself about SterlinG that I nearly missed the whole thing.

summer and then moved somewhere else. Don't really see us adding a midfielder now unless he goes after someone like Carvalho who's probably seen his value go down a bit.

Jordon Ibe is a far greater prospect and doesn't have any of Sterlings mincing frailties. At least that's what all the scouse pundits have been saying.. cough..

difference a proper defensive midfielder made? We'll probably end up with Pedro instead.

I do like the talk to Lacazette, though :cloud9:

we didn't get smashed by the big teams, but that was more down to the approach of the team rather than Coquelin being a one man brick wall. However, Arteta is now older and yes i'd probably prefer a younger/better player in there.

There are 45 days left until the window closes so I'd suggest cooling those jets for at least the next month.

Remember, what would Arsene do?

40-50m on a given player. We fixed the goalie situation. Our full backs are decent (and let's be honest no one gives a f**k about full backs). Our midfield/winger options are bordering on the ridiculous. If i were Arsene i'd be looking at a striker and then close the cheque book.

but wouldn't get in the squads of United, Chelsea or City).

I agree on the striker front - although got to feel sorry for Welbeck who clearly wants to play there. And also maybe a centre back - unless you class Debuchy as an option there.

he must be quite pleased to see the back of it.

This is why they were not put under transfer embargos like other Championship clubs.

I will grant you that the old stadium sponsorship deal was a ruse to get money into the club, but still, there you go. Now it's sponsored by Vitality for the next 3 seasons so it's a non-issue.

AFCB really haven't spent anywhere near as much money as people say. All big fees paid (up until this summer) have been funded by player departures.
