They should have gone under Communist rule after WW2, instead of us, to see what it's really like to be in bed with those lovely chaps, the USSR. Well, now they're going to bed with Putin, who will no doubt try to drag Bulgaria back into that cesspit of misery next. Hopefully there's enough reasonable people here to oppose the new Stalin. I'm not optimistic at all. You lot are very lucky to be living in Britain, which has always done terrible, sneaky, slimy things to my country, especially via that horrible snake Churchill, but I still think of it as my second home.

I doubt they'll be the only one's effectively voting themselves out of Europe in the next couple of years either.

Depressing stuff indeed. Have you been in the UK recently, did I see?

against the bullies like Mertel.

Of course the Greeks have made some big mistakes, all by previous governments, and no, I am not a socialist / communist; in trying to put things right people don't have to be humiliated as they have been in recent weeks.

You lent some money to a mate and after falling on hard times he refused to reign in his spending to make it possible to pay you back?

Just wondered like

others not to pay. The EU is a bunch of ****e but the Greeks shouldn't have lied about their economic position and borrowed money they couldn't pay back. Simple.

bought a lot of arms from Germany that cost them millions and millions?

Are you aware that 89% of the loans go towards the banks, mainly German?

I repeat, the Greeks have made many mistakes but don't believe all the rubbish you read about early retirements, that is a very small percentage, I totally disagree with it too but not the reason for all these problems.

no help to anyone, those who are owed and those who have to pay. Trouble here is your boys have been telling us for years EU good. Now you're torn between EU good (against nasty small-Englanders) and EU bad (trying to screw poor people) so given the inability to find solutions there is a scramble to find some nasty culprit somewhere else.

30bn euro a year in tax avoidance, and you want to blame the German's for selling them arms?
