I currently pay 161 pounds / month for Telephone + Broadband (both with BT) and SKY for Sports and Movies - and this doesn't include insurance

The BT package includes the anytime plan for both UK and 60 other countries i.e. unlimited calls (up to 59 minutes)

Virgin Media offered all the above plus insurance for 101.50 / month in the first year and 123 pounds thereafter but I have the option to review it after the 12 months. Seems to good to be true.

Also, SKY make it impossible for customers that have the complete TV package to get through to them and discuss changes

Broadband service is good.

The good thing on the TV side of things is that you don't need a poxy dish - that loses signal whenever there's bad weather.

What's the insurance for?
With Virgin - you as a subscriber lease their equipment. If it goes titsup they come out to fix it or replace.

the local channels (BBC etc.)

The SKY insurance is for them to come and repair their own bloody equipment

I'll go for Virgin Media and meanwhile I'll find a way for SKY to ***c off with their package without me having to pay any compensation

every chance they wwill match it or beat it (especially is you are a long standing customer)

IF you switch, go through Topcashback or Quidco and you will get quite a lot back for doing it
