At our age, and I accept there is an extremely small but hugely significant gap between us, excessive drinking on any night is hugely regrettable the next day.

Last sunday for example. Or saturday night to be precise but sunday was the extreme pain.

Reminds me of our first trip to Cardiff for a cup final and a few lads I was with stopping a Welsh on Mary St to ask for a place to go for breakfast.

The welsh pointed us to a place and remarked that it was "tidy" to which one of my chums stated he didn't give a f**k how tidy it was as long as it could do a fry up.

I laughed, and translated.
