A prominent ‘black’ civil rights campaigner and Professor of Africana Studies has a rather large skeleton in her closet - she is secretly white.
Rachel Dolezal’s parents claim that she has been pretending to be black for years in Spokane, Washington.
Her father, Larry Dolezal says, ‘“She’s our birth daughter and we’re both of European descent. We’re puzzled and it’s very sad.’
Larry says that his daughter has cut off all communication with her birth parents - possibly in an attempt to conceal her origins.
He said, ‘She has over the past 20 years assimilated herself into the African American community through her various advocacy and social justice work, and so that may be part of [why she did it].
