A fantastic read, imo. Might make "Coraline" my son's first reading material in a couple of years.

Quite how a 1,00-pupil school in Croydon managed to justify not having a single black pupil, I'm not sure. Shocking, really.

Seriously, though, I have no knowledge of or interest in his work. I simply saw some comments where he said the school was obsessed with sport and anyone who wasn't good at sport was made to feel like a failure or some such ****. This put me off him and told me he was a weed.

Mind you, the bloody place has only ever produced one test cricketer (Raman Subba Row) and one England rugger player (Cipriani), so it comes up a bit short on the sporting front, really.

Was it not Croydon after all which gave this absolute jewel of the genre to the world.

Click bait tweets galore for mistake riden articles. Really cringeworthy buzzfeed type stuff

Look at this won for example. "Her daughter responded perfectly"

I once checked into a hotel which had a clear glass wall and door on the bathroom allowing no privacy at all. However, the flick of an electrical switch caused the glass to become opaque.

White man's magic, no doubt.
