View Full Version : In my career so far. I've worked with plenty of 'managers' but it seems very rare to find someone

who can actually do the job correctly.

It seems most in my current company only have become one by sticking around long enough.

They have no idea how to motivate staff, deal with problems they should be dealing with etc. I find this one of the most frustrating parts of office life. Seems all they really care about here is carrying around diary's and booking meetings.

Would be nice to work with a good one for a change.

Ideally I would be my own manager but I have accepted my fate.

The thing that motivates you is the envelope you get at the end of the month, surely? What else do you need?

Or some other *******s, perhaps.

by being

A) moody- huffing and puffing. calling the people sales offices in Japan mongs.

B) constantly telling you don't expect a bonus this year

But apart from that what's really brought my piss to a boil today is people causing trouble from other depts for no reason.

My manager automatically starts moaning for something that hasn't even happened. I've done nothing wrong after 40 minutes of bull**** I then show in very simple terms I am correct. and that's end of it.
Nice to see they trust other people more than they trust their own staff. and an apology would be nice. the f**king moody c**t.

Of course you do. This chap is only human like you. It's best to remember that.

He might be a human but he's a c**t,

Then they wonder why people leave. And perhaps the worst reviews on Glassdoor I've ever read.

shagging his best mate or whatever. There could be any number of reasons for his current demeanour.

Judge not, lest ye be judged, f. I live by this rule, which is why I'm so serene and forgiving.

On a daily basis I take it upon myself to demotivate colleagues, those reporting to me and also others in separate departments because I believe in equality.

Why?

Because they are c**ts.

their shortcomings, lack of competence or errors - which, of course, my job requires me to do.

Younger people really struggle with being *******ed these days, have you noticed? Even mildly. I blame the schools for constantly positively reinforcing the little turds. They seem unable to deal with the idea of being wrong.

course. You say 'You need to work on your such-and-such', but it amounts to the same thing, really.

Besides, I wonder if saying 'Get out of bed half an hour earlier, you lazy, immature little prick' wouldn't be more effective than saying 'I am a little concerned by/You need to work on your timekeeping'.

But it's frowned on these days, of course.

Dont.

Management is a piece of piss at the moment as there is redundancy in the air. Thst motivates people pretty effectively.
