View Full Version : I have a moral quandary.

This morning I must visit my GP for a very minor matter.

It occurs to me that I need some boosters prior to a long African visit this autumn. While I am at the doctors, I am tempted to mention this. :-(

Handing out vaccinations to people who can afford to travel to the kind of places for which you require vaccinations isn't really what the NHS is for, is it? On the other hand, I pay fortunes into it every month and never use it.

What say you?

Might as well get yourself an armful of antigens while you can imo.

it is actually there to serve those who *could* afford to pay for its benefits themselves, and not for those who could not.

For a visit to Africa though, perhaps a visit to the duty-free lounge would be more to the purpose than a trip to the doctor's?

and my glw is mad for Malerone. Although I don't suppose the NHS will dole out Malerone.

Doesn't strike one as the sort of chap with an interest in gorillas. You can never tell, can you?

Makes sense, doesnt it? Do you usually get your boosters along with your botox and hymen restoration in Harley St or something?

If anything, I'm more shocked by the Mateus Rose.

Sadly, he has gone to Australia to ply his trade. Since then, I have used a walk in clinic at Harley St, and they are very good indeed.

Seriously, what's Socialism for if it's not for everybody? Get down the doctors.

Just prepare yourself for the waiting room though, you may catch something from the unfortunates.

Or to be more accurate when in Portugal.

It was *literally* as cheap as chips so on the odd evening as I showered and prepared for the evening I had a bottle.

The Night Nurse was of course more of an issue but I needed sleep of any sort so lashed it in and proceeded to pass out. Up with the larks on the Tuesday and off to work.
