View Full Version : Having been without a dishwasher for nearly 6 weeks, I am more convinced than ever that they

are a false economy and actually take up more time (loading, unloading. re-cleaning after they come back out dirty, etc) than washing up manually :judge:

washing up needs to be done.

If you stick it in the dishwasher clean it when you like.

On a separate note. I do not have a dishwasher. Do they get rid of the horrid smell left by cooking eggs?

Note the time taken washing up over a typical week with the time spent with the dishwasher, then you'll know for sure. If you care about energy consumption for any reason, you'll certainly be saving energy not using it.

Ours stopped working years ago, and I don't miss it. Mind you, we don't do complicated cooking using millions of things.

Don't think I could live without a dishwasher, tbh. The missus hates to empty it, for some reason. I enjoy taking out the clean plates and putting them away. It's the plates and bowls sitting in the sink with dank, turgid water inside of them that gets me. :shudder:

a load of washing up on the side. Any kind of mess jars with their culturally-imposed desire for moral goodness.

This is the single reason they love dishwashers so much. Absolutely nothing to do with time efficiency.

The weird, neurotic c**ts.

*Yes, I'm calling you homo.

regardless of the amount of washing up.

Also, as a man you pick your battles. Years of psychological warfare with mental women have taught me that vetoing a new dishwasher would be a profoundly unwise move in the long term.

Why would anyone live like that? :rubchin:

I almost broke down.

Honestly, if your cooking consists of more than 'pierce the film lid several times', washing up by hand is going to take up half your evening. AND you won't get the water hot enough to clean things properly.

Everything dry with an increasingly filthy rag rather than briefly rinse them (if you're feeling assiduous), then sticking them in a metal box, putting in a tab and then pressing a button?

Are you an *actual* mental case?
