Jokes aside it is very worrying for the Kiwis that they completely choked.

They went from being in total control and winning the game to having to scramble frantically for the draw.

Woeful.

Their problem was once the chase was unrealistic they don't really have anyone capable of batting time, it's only really Williamson (and Watling did well).
Guptil, McCullum, Taylor, Anderson, Southee really only play one way, also they got some decent balls with the new ball.

And batting last always involves the risk of having to chase a decent-sized total/bat out for a draw. It's never, ever easy. That's why batting first is such an advantage. You can only accuse NZ of choking if you accuse all the other sides in test history who've batted last against a 300-plus lead and lost of choking. And that's a lot of teams.
