Terry Sue-Patt, who rose to fame after playing Benny Green in the long-running school-based drama Grange Hill, was found dead at his flat in Walthamstow, east London on Friday afternoon.
Mr Sue-Patt, who was 50, starred in the iconic BBC show alongside Lee Macdonald, who played Zammo, and Erkan Mustafa, who starred as Roland.
Police confirmed that they are not treating the death as suspicious.
