tested her understanding with a test in which I put several scenarios to her. I think she's nearly there.

I will periodically ask her questions about today's play which she must answer correctly. If she fails the test there will be other, more intensive lesson on test match cricket this evening.

Actually, it is a bit disconcerting when you are faced with a pork-free breakfast, but once you accept the fact, it's absolutely fine. Although someone really does need to explain to the Jewish people that smoked salmon is a very poor substitute for bacon.

Pile of eggs, mushrooms, toast. Bit of hot sauce to liven things up and the job is very much a good one.

Of course bacon and sausage would greatly enhance the occasion but it is very much along the lines of ready, steady cook without that hugely annoying prick Harriott mincing around my kitchen.
