Lots of players with experience to mentor the younger players in our squad.
Not sure this carries enough weight for me.
He's been a good player but he probably runs up 100k a week and that starts to become a luxury position.
I'd rather spend it on new blood that improves the squad.

Having a player who's played in WC's, Champions League's, been around the club for a while is hugely beneficial.

He's also clearly quite a nice chap as is constantly referred to as a friend by other players, which is v useful when we've got jumped up little ****s like young Jack in the squad.

Still,we often look better and more fluid when he is in the team, imo.

Glad to hear that he will be here for another season. Anyone in our squad could learn something from Tomas. He was (and sometimes still is) a very good player.

He is a good (and relatively cheap) back-up in an area where we have had a lot of injuries in the last few years, so I can't really see any negatives here.
