View Full Version : There was a rather nice documentary last night - Class of 92, was it?

It was about Giggs, Butt, Scholes, and the Nevilles growing up together and their careers at United. Lots of 90s nostalgia, there.

It's always disappointing to be confronted by the apparently undeniable fact that Beckham is a genuinely nice chap.

I think you got the better end of the deal. How was Bruxelles?

Admittedly though, it was a great documentary. Slightly tough watching that Villa park nonsense all over again though, we could have conceivably won back to back doubles that year.

Guinness Guinness Guiness. :puke:

It was quite sad, in a way. I've rather enjoyed my monthly trips for the last 2 years, and I can't imagine ever having a reason to visit Brussels again.

Much excitement at Calais yesterday as lorries, queueing to enter the freight area at the tunnel, were attacked by hundreds of, well, African-looking gentlemen who tore open the doors and frantically threw the contents out. Interestingly, some truck drivers left their cabs to remonstrate whilst others of more pragmatic bent appeared to lock the cab doors and look fixedly ahead.

well worthy of our contempt. Something about his all too ready willingness to accept his place.

All *******s, of course, but he made his points very well.

Mostly for knowing his place though.

I don't think I could do that level of beer anymore. The mere idea of drinking more than five pints these days makes me feel gaseous.

You made your point well, but I think you're being too harsh on him. I don't imagine anyone ever intended for him to be Muhammad Ali.

After all, there's the place in Central London, the place in Hertfordshire, the place in LA and the place in Spain...and that's just for starters. :-)

A mate of mine runs a fish restaurant and occasionally sent out to him at his place near Harlow.
Reckons he used to return the plates the following day.

Sent the waitress staff into a total tail spin, when he turned up, pre opening hours, unannounced.

I think Becks would sell cluster grenades if the price was right, the man is amoral.

That just means he's smart enough to know that his morals are not the most important thing. Especially when there's vital matters such as his wife's court shoe collection, for example, to consider.

I think you must be even more vain than you think he is, to not recognise this. It is *not* all about you.

Besides, you've told me some of the people you've pitched to/worked with, so I wouldn't come on too strong with your integrity imo ;-)

the Emirates, or even our training ground, with his wondrous presence.

So bloody what!
