View Full Version : Which Villa is going to turn up at Wembley, then? Sherwood's fizzing, all-action maelstrom?

Or Sherwood's tactically naive pub team?

Actually, that's a pretty daft question, isn't it? :-(

When asked what he meant by "a sherwood team" his reply was simple, "winning".

Massive, giant, epic bell end.

Especially with Chesney on goal.

He's unlikely to have enough about him to out-general Wenger though.

A late brace for Benteke imo.

I know that sounds f**king stupid but I am running with it.

Still expect us to win as we are the better team but not as easy as perhaps we think.

company.

I don't even think I'm being particularly pessimistic. I just have absolutely no expectation of us winning this one.

The only thing that bothers me about that is the idea of Tim Sherwood running around pumping his fist while whirling his gilet around his head, but even that prospect is made less awful when I consider that we might have had to put up with a triumphal Gerrard ****-fest.

Batter them. They wouldnt be able to live with it and sherwood wouldnt have a clue how to limit the damage.

Unfortunstely, vwe know that isnt going to happen. We will stumble through the first half like a bunch of f**king clowns and then slowly get pur act together once we are trailing.

Wont be enough this time.vwe got away with it in the semi and final last year and in the semi this year.

Given the quite frankly ridiculous media build up to last Saturday, which then turned out to be ball achingly hilarious, then the idea of Gerrard’s last game ever, until his loan in January, being at Wembley in the Cup Final would have been too much I fear.

In terms of the final itself, perhaps you excluded, but I suspect most chaps secretly think we will trounce them given the respective positions both teams occupy, and the fact that one side is managed by a footballing genius and the other by a bloke at the bar, as such.

It is not an unfair appraisal of events but it is a funny old game as Jimmy Greaves (RIP) used to lament.

We could be playing Barnet there and I wouldn't fancy our chances. It's almost as if the players sense the fans discomfort at being miles from the pitch in nasty small plastic seats with a deafening announcer having waited 40 minutes to get in because the f**king turnstiles don't work and horrible, inadequate toilets etc blah blah

On of the great FA Cup traditions. Moaning about Wembley.
