our record against the top half of the table (ie not just top 4 but top 9) was

HOME: P8, W3, D3, L2 and AWAY P8, W1, D2, L5

ie a mere 17 points coming vs top half of the table.

So it seems from the results that we are fine against the lesser quality teams but once we play well organised teams with decent players we struggle. Not sure I really understand how 4 wins in 16 games against the better teams demonstrates progress.

by so many, now that we're....err...winning trophies (well, a good chance of winning our 2nd in two yeas, anyway).

We did have our worst league start for 30 odd years though. Beginning the season with no real solution to the DM issue and no senior centre back cover, probably didn't help.

That chap has always come across as a fat retard, not sure why anybody would really want to take what he says as redistribute it as their own.

I noted one of the UK papers gave a full spread to that other f**king eejit Piers Morgan yesterday or Saturday, in the Sports section and all. Shocking.

Half of the table.

Just to show you how this works. If you look at away games against teams 6th to 9th, we lost all ofhtem. But against teams innthe op five we did far better, winning one and drawing two. Which suggests we are fine against really good sides but struggle against fairly good ones.

Etc etc etc.....

I await the stats for our results against teams wearng their away kit. :-)

...but then taking your cut the stats are that we only won 1 at home vs teams in 1-5 and 2 vs teams in 6-9 so overall not much good against either good teams or fairly good teams either

At least two points fewer than last year.

Cant really argue with that.

improved as we have avoided the big losses away from home and actually got some points against the top 4.

Doing worse as we will end up with less points than last season, doing worse as we are further from first place (points wise) than last season.

You can take stats and twist them anyway you want
