I heard Everton were mention as a possibility for Chesney....that would be ideal....now he can really become the new Neville southall.

Still not sure on Cech....got that damaged goods feel about him especially after being discounted from a side who prides themselves on clean sheets.

Players have always gone out on loan though more normally at an early stage in their career. For a player who was a first team regular for 2-3 seasons to then be demoted to a loan move would be a serious sign that the manager has lost faith.

they mentioned it on the football ramble.
With you on Lewandowski, can't remember seeing anyone making Mascherano look like a fool.

Proper Jorge style football viewing.

If only I could have got the big game from Argentina.

Number one would give chesney the chance to go on loan for a year or two and grow up a bit. He can still be a world class keeper for years to come.

Loan is hugely preferable to sitting on our bench. Again, keepers are different here as a number two keeper is likely to get far fewer chances than a number two full back.

never win when you expect them to, they have really good attacking players, Higuain, Hamsik, Mertens, Insigne, Callejon and Gabbiadini.

Fact!

To be fair to them the goal they conceded in the first leg was quite bad, two players clearly offside, the first one went for it and put everybody off and the second one tapped it in.

and Arsene offering the going rate for a reserve keeper, over 30. It'll be Mark Schwarzer all over again.

Whether he believes there is an arc of redemption is the question. The prodigal goalkeeper.

I caught the end of the 4th division thriller. Quite good, actually. But then again, I went to see a 5th division promotion decider a few weeks ago. :hide:

Grass roots attendance A, it is where cool people go. Bovril and a pie.

Also the club give free tickets to the kids who completed their training / development course.

as I did our game - by which I mean I looked over every time there was a goal which was about every 30 seconds

Barnet v Gateshead was certainly more entertaining than Arsenal v Chelsea. Not than I'm blaming Chelsea for being scared of losing to Arsenal, of course.
