I will 100% accept them to be a hugely credible band and I have no doubt at all of your affection for them, however modern culture has seen them transmogrify into a band that public affection, no matter how genuine, for them must be frowned upon.

I saw them at the Brixton Academy, they were late and the trains had stopped by the time they finished and we had to walk back to North London.

They werent just art rock/noise rock, though evol and sister most definitely were, and are still good. You should listen to goo, daydream nation or dirty. All great albums packed with great songs.

I did sort-of like them for a while, but when I saw them live I was very disappointed. Moreso since I only went because a mate from out of town wanted to see them at the Roundhouse and asked me to get tickets. I did so, at some expense, and on the day he phoned up to say he wasn't coming and I should get the money back for his from a tout. I only got a fraction of face-value from the tout and the gig was a cacophony.

So I might be a little bit bitter.
