26 is the prime age to attempt to play a completely different position imo.

The running down blind alleys or the completely fluffing a simple chance?

What we gonna do with a cross that flies over Walcott and Cazorla's heads?

"The quality of his runs is so fantastic with the pace he has, and he is a good finisher now."

a few more chances he might put one away.

If by introducing Walcott you want to create more width so be it. But then you lose anybody in the box with any height.

Olivier could've scoredmissed Theo's chances just the same, so I don't think it was anything too complicated.

He always gets up, though, doesn't he. I can't decide whether he has an unbelievably high pain threshold or is basically the world's biggest drama queen.

performative aspect of the job; he's playing to the officials and the gallery.

Last night was just another example of why TH was right when he said we needed a top quality striker if we want to win league again.

Giroud doesn't make things happen he just finishes off. This is clearly a positive for a striker but to win the league we need more because there are too many games playing against packed defences and in those games Giroud contributes very little.

Although Walcott is still rusty nevertheless he doesn't have the eye for goal that top strikers possess naturally. His pass to Fabianski was a typical example when he should have planted that firmly into the roof of the net. Also Theo needs space to do his best work. He is not a fox in the box.

Both Theo and Giroud are good to have around but we are missing the quality to take us to next level.
