Sadly though in this case I am mostly right and Labour dropped a big one by not being more convincing in their distancing from the SNP.
The English are not immune to the rise of the Right and nationalism
that is, as it usually does in difficult times, enjoying growth in popularity across Europe.

Oh they said the right words alright, it's just that nobody believed them.

Can you imagine the uproar of a Labour Gov held in thrall to the SNP which, lets be honest, was their only realistic chance of governing so soon since their last attempt.
That and the very disconcerting spectre of Ed Milliband.

I believe it was that that polarized the dirty masses into abandoning the middle ground and heading for the hills.
