View Full Version : I rather wish I hadn't voted by post, now.

I like the whole rigmarole with the junior school hall and the (I assume) volunteers making sure the process runs smoothly and legally; and then, that secret, private moment when you exercise your hard-won franchise. It's has, in the past, made me a little teary.

I might go and hang around the school for a bit anyway. At the very least I'll get to laugh at a geek wearing a green rosette.

They're actually going to do it, aren't they? They're going to let in the socialists. It's going to be like Year f**king Zero, isn't it? :-(

I'd accidentally put the local one in the general.

The whole thing needs a damn good looking at imo. Quite why you cant vote online but you can by post is beyond me. Postal voting is much more open to fraud.

Thanks for clearing that up.

tbh I'm not sure that's a better system is it? Also, given Epsom isnt going to declare until about 4am, a full four hours after the lads from Sunlan do, I'm not sure your theory stands up anyway.

Still, be thankful you don't have to live under the sort of socialist c**t of a government i do.

First thing they did in the budget was increase unemployment benefit to 90% of your salary :-|

Despite Labour's plans to increase spending, a pound has to be earned before it can be spent.

in fact the only time I have heard it at all is Paul Merson describing a goal, presumably because it means he doesn't have to think of a proper adjective.

took the stand against that most wicked of tyrannies, so that we could exercise this simple but paramount privilege, I realized that not to vote was to disparage their sacrifice.
