80% of his passes are short and sideways and his hype comes from the odd golazo he scores every now an again

He's Germanys answer to Denilson

still a keeper I'd be happy with.....plus he's young and more than likely will only get better

Maybe he is the new Kevin Philips.

Apart from the first few months at United - at a stretch his first season - he has been excellent. A leetle more than 12 months since anyone thought he was a lightweight flapper

While Kroos was busy passing it along the floor to teammates did you notice how many times Ramos played the Stevie G crossfield lump into touch?
Cracking stuff.

banded about in the media for him..
To me, he's no better than Lloris and still short of the level of Courtois

because of the ridiculously high line spurs keep playing

De Gea is up their with Courtois for me. Ospina and Lloris are the next level down

Steve Williams - gay for Mark Knopfler

Staggering really.

he was always an excellent shot stopper

Had really high hopes for him at one point and now he looks lost in the wilderness :-(

People say what they want about Ospina.

Since he has been playing we've been on a tremendous run.

Plenty of time for Woj to come good again though

Only about once was I really willing someone to smash him in the face - normally happens nine to ten times a game.

In other news James Harris :cloud9:

It's possible the AW may have finally lost patience. It seems each time he's come back, the fallabilities keep re appearing.

Be interesting to see if Wenger keeps the faith for the Villa final.

they seem to encourage each other, his opta pass percentage must have been in single figures last night.
Harris is still pretty young, hopefully England aren't watching or he could be in trouble.
Would you go with Lyth now?
I quite like the idea of Hales as a Trescothick/Warner/Sehweg type at the top now he is getting some consistancy in the championship.

that England had already had a go at wrecking him

Who he will be toasting when he gets there, however, is a moot point. While Harris claimed to have been grateful for the chance, as a youngster inducted into the ECB’s fast-bowling programme in 2007, to strive for that extra yard of pace that marks out many of the world’s best bowlers, it remains that he took an active decision to bin all of that advice this season and revert — like James Anderson, Liam Plunkett and Finn too — to the technique that had first made him so prodigious.
“They had been trying to change things since I was very young, both in the programmes at Loughborough and bits and bobs, because you want to bowl at 90mph-plus and swing it round corners,” Harris said.
“We probably found the half a yard we needed, but it was to the detriment of skill and moving it around. I don’t care if you bowl 100mph, if you don’t move it around you’re probably not going to be too successful.”

I like the thought of Hales but think they will go with Lyth now - not a bad option though

Lyth deserves a chance tbh, Rashid should be the next spinner in line as well.
The fact that he was/is a key player for the champions while Tredwell, who is above him, can't get a game for probably the worst side in division two makes a mockery of the whole system.

I really don't get why people are having a go. I really can't see much he's done wrong. Perhaps planted a bit when Monaco scored.

Imagine if they hadn't f**ked around with Jimmy's action - would have 500 wickets by now. Still think he has a good few years in him if he stays fit (and quits odis)

what is less ironic is they appear to have learnt absolutely nothing from it.
Rashid's batting is very decent  infact it's arguably better than his bowling.
