Meanwhile, the fathers of those kids are retiring and haven't seen spurs win the league.

I hope granddad's heart holds out for the annual Christmas "Grandad, tell us about spurs winning the league" conversation.

to see Spurs actually beat Arsenal. This was a week or so before they finally beat us in that Carling Cup semi. Had to waittwo more years to beat us in the League. I know a few Spurs fans who are intelligent and objective, and know thei football. It's not easy being polite after they've complimented Arsenal. "Er, yeah, that Bill Nicholson side was so classy, Blanchflower and all..." Or "Yeah, you lot played some pretty good football in the early 80s, Hoddle, Ardiles and Marc Falco, yes, and that Tony Banks eh? Did well in that penalty shootout, didn't he? In 1984!"
