this wonderful event is followed by an awkward step, leading to a Total devastation of knee ligaments.

mindset, nip down to Whitechapel for a stroll through the market on a saturday. An old stomping ground of your ancestors too, perhaps (certainly mine).

or something, but hanging around here has obviously had a calming and sobering effect on me. Thank God for that! :-)

Actually, I've been meaning to pop there for a while to visit a very well regardedspit and sawdust-style Indian restaurant that is said to serve the best lamb chops in London, so I will try to plan my pilgrimage for a market day.

What is the ethnic mix there nowadays? Has it avoided the gentrification of neighbouring Bethnal Green?

an option....Snooker fans, for instance, are unbearable, mosquito-like annoying and simultaneously boring.

'Seeing as you're so tapped into the awimb archives, you'll recall it was only during the last two seasons that I began to grumble and grunt. I was quite supportive before that, so :vsign:

And tennis. And Golf. I digress tho, it's dimmest we're after and tbh I think football pisses it.

thought that particular one we needed more time for. Even this season, when some on here (hello PJ) got carried away with talk of a "challenge". I do think we could be ready in a season or two, but what do I know....

Romford to Kings Cross.

The market itself seemed about 95% subcontinent, as were most of the people overall that we saw across East London, but the river Lea was definitely a boundary. No gentrification visible in East Ham, Upton Park, Plaistow and West Ham, but signs of it there in Bow, Mile End, Stepney and Whitechapel.

Most of the white people we saw were foodfashion****s queuing up outside of fashionable eateries desperate to post photos of their meals on Facebook saying "LOOK AT ME!"

subcontinental types but is a surprisingly vibrant and historical conservation area.

I don't think you should be encouraging my type to visit Whitechapel market. Before you know it, it'll be teeming with north London foodfashion****s, pissing people off by pushing oversized buggies carrying screaming spawn****s there for some cultural tourism and then complaining when there's no food stalls selling organic hummus.

I'm all about exploring the 'burbs and the badlands now. Morden to Kennington looms.

The market was mostly about the latest cool Muslamic accessories for a pound and portions of very fresh-looking veg for, erm , a pound. While I was taking photos of the Jewish memorial there some bloke asked me who I was taking it for. "Just a historic monument" said Ms A, which probably saved us getting our heads sliced off.
