Yeah, I know I'm the only one that likes it and you all think it's **** but f**k you. And your mums.

And I think Eva Green is good in it, too.

ftr I've never heard of this Penny Dreadful of which you speak. My wife is trying to get me to start watching something called 'Outlander', though. Know anything about that?

Frankenstein, vampires, Dorian Gray, van Helsing.

Haven't heard of Outlander. Sounds like a 4x4 vehicle thingy.

Billie Piper, James Bond, an American film star and the gorgeous Eva Green.

Not sure.

The Salvation I watched recently. It was a slightly bleak piece, but even so.

The seance from the first season where she does lots of fithy sex-talk was particularly good imo.

She's not the only other other Bond connection either. The co-producers wrote and directed Skyfall.

No idea why really.

Often it is a bone of contention between myself and Mrs SW as we idly flick through 100 odd channels.

I suppose Bond is not cool anymore nor indeed is liking a Bond movie. Of course it is hugely silly and utterly implausible but that is the whole point of 007.

Wd Daniel Craig.

when I decided to jack it in. It's all just shiny stuff and explosions, really, isn't it?

Mind you, Casino Royale remains the only James Bond film I've ever managed to watch from start to finish, so it's fair to say I may not have bought into the genre, exactly.

That’s the essence of Bond.

Put the c**t down anywhere in the world and he is still in his element. Whereas you and I would be looking at tourist maps and getting lost he seamlessly just rides motorbikes around back streets as if he has lived his entire life there, while simultaneously fighting 1-2 villains and at all times remaining smartly dressed and suave.

I would have liked to be Bond.

Apart from that the boy Craig does a decent Bond, I think. The previous two tend to merge into one in my mind. And the titles were unmemorable too. Live a little this. Die a little that. Tomorrow a bit the other.

You know where you are with a Goldfinger or a Diamonds are Forever.

M isn't supposed to die. :-( This is Bond, not Game of Thrones*.

*I realise that you don’t watch Game of Thrones but it’s the one where everybody dies.

could sit and watch the lot back to back*

*apart from Moonraker which is just terrible on virtually every level. In fact, I could give all the Roger Moore wons a miss

A lady came by on a horse and stuck her sword right through a chaps neck/throat. He was in her way, kind of, but still somewhat harsh.

She may have been a Queen or something.

I always liked Live and Let Die also but crucially it suffered from having Moore in situ.

and then seemed to always be clothed in the 2nd series so I stopped watching

He wasn't an actor. Just a lad who blagged his way in because he wanted to be James Bond
