Or record of success.

But then jose is not most managers :-)

He really is very good at playing the tosspot. I have a grudging respect for that but am still very glad we dont have a mansger like him.

fans of other clubs?

Also, to continue playing devil's advocate, we would do well to remember that Wenger is not impartial to delivering passive aggressive implicit criticism of other teams and, sometimes, individuals.

you can't blame him. The pressures in today's game are huge but I get the impression that he enjoys having digs at opponents.

And has tendency to go too far. Some of his jibes at wenger over the years have been embarrassing.

I quite like it. The boring tag clearly riles him, as does the fact that wenger gets respect without winning snything. The fact is they cam be a bit boring and a bit negstive but there is nothing wrong with that. Modt of us wish we had been a bit more negative at times over the years.

I cant help but respect mourinho even though he is clearly an arsehole.

you might - just might - have been able to overlook the fact that he seems to have a mildly malicious streak to his personality.

I wouldn't swap him for Wenger, but in the same way I wouldn't swap my own dad for a better one.

Not that he's necessarily a better manager, but you take the point.

Nothing personal but the whole dynamic between you and him would change if he were manager of Arsenal Football Club.

The things you dislike about him you would like and defend, because he was Arsenal. If in tandem he managed to deliver success you would enjoy that success and laud him.

Media put downs like those of the last few days would be met with endless  and :hehe: and another .

The same parallel exists with footballers who we hate as opposition, but would take to our hearts if they were ours.

which he clearly plays up to.

I don't feel I can definitively say he's vermin. He has a family and kids and is also loved by his own players.

for it even to be possible.

I can't imagine a situation we'd even open talks. Apart from if we got that c**t Usmanov in, I suppose.

But if things were different etc.

Similar to a player like Roy Keane who we all hated as a player. Had he played for us we would have worshiped the ground he walked on because of what he was and how he played.

Mind you I quite like him now.
