there is a homeless big issue chap at Moorgate every morning when I come out of the station. He's on one of those electric mobility scooters.

Everyday I think if he's homeless how does he charge his scooter.

It is a very popular misconception.

The sales of the publication partly go to raise funds for homeless charities but a seller can be living in temporary accomodation, as opposed to the normal idea of homeless being one who sleeps rough.

In fact you can actually just be on the dole and sell it, though technically you may no longer be on the dole.
