Lead guitarists are, by-and-large, insufferable c**ts who can't actually play in time and never listen to anyone else in the band except themselves. This is a shame, because it's only when everyone is listening to everyone else that a band gets really tight and sounds any good live. Hence it is why three-pieces are often better to see, and have a bigger sound - because three people hitting the note at the same time actually sounds louder than four people hitting it at different times.

The last lead guitarist I played with was an Italian who spent rehearsals looking at himself in the mirror. :shudder:
