slagging off Wembley but the electronic turnstiles there are still bloody terrible. I recall some experiencing half-hour delays getting into the ground last year and it was the same again on Saturday. Every 2nd or 3rd person wouldn’t be allowed in by the ticket-scanner without a minute or two of faff, and the stewards did nothing to help. Also that bloody deafening atmosphere-killing PA with the American wrestling* style announcer. He could at least have rehearsed the name ‘Pogrebnyak’. I do like it when we play a team in blue though and half the ground is blue and half red.

Due to a cunning exit strategy I was back in central London just one hour after the final whistle (without leaving early). Did anyone beat that?

*I have never actually watched any wrestling, American or other.

Well, the "home" he was turfed out of by my mum about 15 years ago, but whose driveway she still lets him park on (not a euphemism) when The Arsenal play at Wembley.

30 minute walk to Alperton tube then straight on a Piccadilly line into town.

and that's before Arsenal even started playing.

Drive up on the morning of the event. Check into the Wembley Hilton. Go to event. Walk to bedroom. Order room service.

In the morning drive straight to the west end for breakfast. Under no circumstances chance a Hilton breakfast buffet.

I am the damaged product of a broken home. Can you not even muster an ounce of sympathy for me?
