Surely this is due to back fire at some stage?

Fabianski arguably a lot better and less of a liability at this stage last season than Chesney is now.

can't remember fab making the sort of mistakes or being as slack with his professionism as Chesney has shown this season.

He's been given chances vs Southampton and United but I'm not convinced he's anywhere near where he should be for an important game like this.

unconinving vs Southampton and I felt he should've done a lot better with the Rooney goal at old Trafford....flat footed, out of position, couldn't even make a save....looked like he might have been appealing for offside on Rooney...goal kicking was a sheer nightmare.

We shouldn't be carrying players like him especially with Ospina in the ranks.

largely considered to be not good enough - Flapianski? - unable even to get the number one spot from the almost universally criticised Almunia.

By contrast before this season's incidents Chesney was (largely) considered to be potentially one of the world's best keepers in waiting. So can't see how it's a bigger risk this season than last.

If you disagree with the policy that's of course another matter.
