he latest trailer for Terminator Genisys has been unveiled – and it contains what appears to be a pretty sizeable plot twist, revealing that Jason Clarke's John Connor is both a Terminator himself, and the film's main antagonist.

Genisys, a reboot of the original 1984 Terminator film, is set in 2029. The Future War, between men and machine, is raging and a group of human rebels, led by Connor, are battling to survive among the ruins of post apocalyptic California.

As in the original, Connor's loyal servant Reese (Jai Courtney) is sent back in time to save John's mother Sarah (Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke) from assassination by a Terminator programmed to kill her.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, who played the Terminator in the original films, plays an old-model T-800 robot in the new film. But in Genisys, Schwarzenegger's Terminator has been programmed to guard rather than kill, and is the adopted father of Sarah.

Sort of goes a different direction from the books with the whole Winterfell and Ramsay thing.

incoherent, rambling drivel. Already the Varys/Tyrion double act is a great improvement on the books. Long may it continue. They should just tell that lazy, fat f**k Martin to take his money and f**k off out of it.

Yes, i imagine the show will be done and dusted about 10 years before he finishes the last book :hehe:

Also feels like they're going in the direction of Jon being Rhaegar and Lyanna's kid. Quite a few hints in these early episodes.

interested in relying on him for their source material.

Mind you, a complete lack of Bran would be no bad thing for the rest of the books. Tedious little tree****.

And the R + L = J thing is just being very boringly drawn out in the books.
