when watching games. often the case with very stylish players turned pundits. passionate players who not as talented like neville often make better pundits as have stronger views on the game.

So they trade in the cliche amd the conventional view. Telling us that per lacks pace is not exactly enlightening is it.

The whole tone is geared to the fairly clueless football fan and the neutral.

There is barely a pundit worth listening to. Venables was always good because he would make simple tactical points which were relatively interesting. Most are too thick to do that.
