seems to be the same **** in every episode: something ostensibly supernatural happens -> Mulder thinks it's aliens, Scully thinks there's a rational explanation -> it's somewhat resolved albeit with a bit of ambiguity. Rinse and repeat.

Is there a major overarching story arc developing in this series or is it just the same **** for 9 seasons?
