These are my thoughts on last night seven way debate. the only debate of this election which i think a bit of disgrace really.
Green leader: I thought benett struggled. She lacks authority and personally lacked strong presentation skills. Her closing was comical with the lack of looking straight at camera.
Clegg: Mixed Performance. He made some good points at midiband spending but he for me is seemed to concerned with distancing himself from cameron which is odd as he been in goverment for five years with him. I think deep down he won,t change his party election sink.
Farage; Mixed peformance as well for me. He was good in that straight talking way of his but he made a comment on hiv immigrants which just seemed nasty.
Miliband: Another mixed peformance. His looking straight at the camera was plain odd. it did not suit him as he is frankly gooky. He made one or two good points in the last hour but he also did not seem that much of a leader and was on the defensive at times.
Wood: I thought she was ok. Good looking women in my view. She focused a little to much on wales when she was talking to a uk audience but i thought did well in tone . Not sure she really broke through thought
Struegon : My winner of the night. Good delivery even if you don,t agree with things she say. She was confident, clear and made some good points . Still sense though that she not done the deal in scotland yet.
Cameron : Safety first from him and personally to safety first. He tried to take the i am not going to get to involved tone but often made him look to detached. Made one or two good points and looks the most leader but looked shifty at times . He be glad to see back of debates which he never wanted in the first place.
Overall despite last night debate, still think more people will go back to labour and tory in election as they decide who they want as pm. lib dem vote will take the biggest hit, snp won,t do nearly as well and ukip vote share will drop.
In terms of who win. Gut gut instict is minrotiy goverment for either labour or tories but i really don,t rule out majority for either if ukip or snp really fall away. For tories to win a majority they need to cut through ukip vote share. For labour to win a majority they need to stop snp momentus.
Both are possible as people who don,t want either tory or labour goverment go safety first in vote rather then vote ukip, snp or other minor parties.
I would not be suprised if both parties get over 300 seats. majority could be won by either.
