when Clive was talking about how much more accomplished we were looking with the ball, cue Delph smashing it into touch with no England player within about 30 yards.
Thought PJ did well, surprised he didn't pull something cutting out that through ball though, was a great reach.

with the combination of a high line we were holding and seemingly being left on his own to defend their attacks pretty regularly.

I just think there was bigger or more obvious defensive issues in Pelle being allowed that degree of freedom in the area.

Of course one also has to award credit to the attacker for movement but still.

It is the pace bit that gets me - he doesn't need to be that quick, just looks like he is running in quicksand too often. Possibly harsh given the pace of players around him though
