It's just a beautiful sight to see a goalkeeper launch a ball over his head 40-50 yards and directly into the path (rather than into the feet) of a marauding wideman.

It's also, I think, an underrated skill, technically. I reckon I could kick a ball 9 times out of 10 out to the wing and not entirely disgrace myself. But ask me to throw it overhead, with spin, and all I'm likely to achieve is a dislocated shoulder.
