View Full Version : So how was everyone's first day of British Summer Time?

Speaking personally, I spent mine huddled up on the sofa with the fire on and watching movies as what appeared to be some sort of cyclone took place outside. :-(

Mind you, I was brutally hungover, so it gave me the excuse I needed not to leave the house or do anything worthwhile.

I got to about 4pm yesterday (German Summer Time) and decided even Scotland Gibraltar was better than staying in. Actually watched Georgia Germany and Ireland Poland

Regretting it now of course

Although the truth is probably just that my hangovers all last two days at my age now. :-(

I didn't even think I'd drunk that much

challenging.

I went to bed at 20:30 last night, which I suppose in real terms was 19:30. Slept through to 08:00 this morning, no problem.

new sink.

Then later on when I was driving it was raining like mental and couldn't see f**k all. But it's all a learning experience I suppose.

Saturday on the other hand was ridiculous with the traffic. GRIDLOCK in every direction.

morning.

Seriously, though, I didn't think I'd had that much to drink. I can only blame the admixture of various boozes.

whilst mixing it Il Maestro gave us a shot of a special new Mezcal, our opinion of which was absolutely essential... Got to bed around 3 :-(

You must have had Champagne, red wine, VCs? Just that?

Berni

That's where I went wrong, I reckon. :-(

Beer is a bit like seafood, you've always got to be aware that you're taking a risk.

get us lost on the usually ten-minute walk home from the station due to my deciding we should take a shortcut through some woods.

A splendid performance. :-

I became entrapped within my trousers and had to break the fastener off to escape.

Yes, I must send my trousers back for a warranty repair :-(

Mind you, after a certain amount to drink, getting your trousers off counts as foreplay, I reckon.

4 beers and half a bottle of red, gave up at that point as I was increasingly unsure if I would again see a new dawn.

Quarter Pounder with cheese meal, 12 nuggets. Not all for me of course.

I do enjoy a Fillet o' Fish but as I mentioned I was poorly.

We must, must, must go for lunch at Barrafina. We had a tortilla with morcilla, served baveuse, that was almost life-changing. The suckling pig, the sea urchin, the sweetbreads...

I love them, but they have to be special. If you just do them with every roast, they lose their mystique.

I felt that this was not the most inclusive description he could have come up with, tbh.
