Brendan rodgers once again exposed against a big team

yesterday. In his time as liverpool manager just won five from 26 against the big four of us, chelsea, united and city.

He a talented but flawed manager that has no plan b when the oppoinent take the pace out of matches vs liverpool or over power his team. Only time he wins big games is when the opponent does not bother to defend against his team or take the pace out their managers. city have been most gulity of this mistake.

Its why his record is so bad in europe and why he record in big matches is bad..

Its why he has no trophies in nearly three years at anfield.

Many examples of this

this season the 2-0 win at city, 2-1 win at united, 2-0 win at home to everton.

the fa cup controlled wins over spurs 2-0 and liverpool 2-1.

the 2-0 win at munich in 2013, 1-0 win in dortumd in 2013.

going further back to the past 1-0 win at united in 1998 and 2002, 0-0 at old tradford in 2003.

2006 champions league run where we did not concede a goal from second round to the final.

Rodgers simply could not win those kind of matches. His teams lack power and maturity and he does not react when a opponent defends with numbers vs his team and with power

He a good but flawed manager that has a certain level. He won,t be at liverpool long term .

won once
drawn twice
lossed three times

Man united : two win from seven matches
won twice
drawn none
lossed five times

Chelsea : No wins from seven matches
won none

lossed four times

Man city : two wins from six matches
won : twice
drawn : twice
lossed : twice

that pretty average record at best

five wins in 26 not very impressive.

Big four all have managers who have won major trophies.

he deserves credit for turing their season around and getting them to defend better. the promblem up front still exist. 43 goalas only scored showed that.

But if you look at teir six game winning run it been very lucky

2-1 over city could have easley lose had city been more clincal
3-2 over spurs was frentic low quality game which suited liverpool style]
2-0 win at southampton they were lucky not to draw as southampton had two clean pens
1-0 win at swansea they were battred first halg and if the welsh had taken their chanaces would have drawn.

He only once away at big four which was david moyles awful united team.

Look he can change tactics but has no plan b against the more powerful big terms

perfect example was yesterday game and 2-0 home defeat to chelsea last season.

when set up against two teams who took all the pace out of the matches and press his liverpool team, he no different way of playing. same way of trying to play long through balls to sterling. united played like chelsea three across the midfield and took all of liverpool pace out of the game. rodgers had no answer to this

to win a league but at least knew what it took to win trophies with winning liverpool a european cup, a fa cup and getting them to league cup final and another champions league final. he record in the league was average but he was ok manager. just to negtative to win a league
