the tedium?
When I ask people who attend F1 races what they like about it, they say 'The noise'. :-|

I presume it's the same in Formula 1 as it was at the speedway, back when I used to attend.

If a Sinhalese tried to put me off my stick-wielding by saying, 'Your mum' *headwobble* I'd just piss myself laughing.

the sand at some point, which makes it all much more interesting.
Ghastly people, though. Although this was in Workington.

That's why the first corner is the exciting bit.
Or maybe a pitstop when things can go wrong.
I used to really like it.

absolutely no interest whatsoever in the 'fans' or - in many cases - in the sport itself beyond the technical. It's really a very odd business. Basically, you have these big, incredibly advanced, ludicrously well-funded engineering firms that exist under the umbrella of a sport. Supporting one of them would be like supporting General Electric, ffs!.

Windies have got a chance at Wellington albeit a small chance,
It's the sort of small ground where you don't want Chris Gayle getting into any sort of stride.
It's not impossible for him to smash a quick 150 there and set the Windies up for a win.
But the flip side is you'd have to Boult, Southee and Vettori to get wickets. I suppose Gayle will need to go after the latter.
Shame the Windies lose Bravo, Pollard, Rampaul and Narine before the tournament. Threw their chance away right there.

Although that clearly isn't always the case.

McCullum is due a good knock as well. Been impressed with this Holder chap - never heard of him before the tournament but they've done well to recover from the Ireland debacle
