I so wish I have played football to a certain level. I would be considered the Einstein of punditry

sits Jamie Carragher and a Neville down and, like Mike Leigh, chats to them about the mood of the piece, their characters and the narrative he wishes to present, and then they go out and do 2 and a half hours of improv according to this blueprint?

f**king hell, well done them; Mark Rylance might struggle with that brief.

Honestly, I think they're just generally stupid.

**** telly and that, if they want a media career, they need to be slagging people off and disagreeing with each other. 'Give free rein to your opinions - however stupid and prejudiced and ignorant they may be, but just don't swear, talk about rape or call anyone a *racist term removed*', basically.

See Robbie Savage for a masterclass in this.

to take opposing views.

Just a guess, mind.

He's always be one to wear his Arsenal colours during assessments and not go overboard like Merson does or be way to politically correct like Keown does.

probably why he chose to work for ITV and not sky or the Beeb.

we all know Scholes isn't very clever while Petit just came across as quite bitter. probably still upset we requested Barca take him when they made their move for Overmars.

as Ozil was clearly the best player on the pitch.

Better?

be able to commentate from a certain level. Ridiculous. While I want more from Ozil I found nothing wrong with his performance last night.

On a side note - my son has Fabregas on his Fifa 15 team and I played and scored with Cesc and it. just. felt. so. right.

sipped a julep whilst watching the gardeners maintain my manse, that Cesc has rotten timing. Returning 1 year earlier, pre-Ozil, no problem Prodigal Son. And if it were this upcoming summer that Cesc wanted to return, I think Wenger would do it.

We're a different team mentally now - embracing cover and competition. Radically different from just 8 months ago. Besides, it would really just be displacing the wonderful Santi given Ozil's positioning and Santi is 30 now...

Just rotten luck that it had to be last summer. Proof that Satan hates Arsenal.
