View Full Version : Would this be a season of failure or success if we win the FA Cup and finish in the top 3?

Assuming that we win a trophy again and improved our league position, or at least not finished lower than last season then I believe we have done well.

I am optimistic as we have a better squad than last season, players such as Alexis, Gabriel, Chambers, Debuchy, Ospina, and Welbeck have improved last season’s squad and the successful integration of Bellerin and Coquelin has also improved us.

If we can add a couple of new players such as Schneiderlin and one more top defender I really believe we can win the league.

I don’t have any stats to prove it but I am sure our injuries are not as bad as last year, perhaps the new medical team have made the difference; players such as Giroud and Ozil made ealier returns than originally thought so fingers crossed.

This season is essentially like last season except in reverse.

Last season we had a strong start and out in front then injuries decimated the team.

This season the injuries have taken place in the first third of the season

overall you have to be pleased with this season. the main success story being our improvement in them so called big games.

Next season will be quite interesting because there was a detection of real public disappointment from Arsene. perhaps even our great leader feels more is required.

more prize money in it enables us to spend more and remain within the confines of FFP, thus potentially becoming more competitive the following season.

But we have no divine right to win anything, and we're competing on all fronts with teams who spend much more than we do. A trophy and CL football is success, but for a club our size and how close we keep getting to the line, we need to land another PL title and we need to secure that elusive CL crown as we're pretty much the only one of the big clubs who is consisting in it and has never won it.
