View Full Version : I don’t for one moment think we’re “back in the title race” but what would it take, I wonder,

for it to be hard to dispute that we actually are?

Say we made up another two points on them next weekend, knocking the deficit down to 8 points with us still to play them at home. What then?

No but seriously, what the f**k then? :yikes:

They're not going to drop 8 points.

12 points to play for, meaning we wouldn't need to win all our games.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas
03-16-2015, 04:15 PM
Meaning they'll have taken 2 points from a possible 9?

When did they last go through such a patch of form, do you think? 1978?

we can *still* reduce the deficit to 5 points with 4 games to play by beating them.

The league was won last year with 86

and 2 years before that 89.

it doesn't seem enough. Though the standard of league has slipped.

Chances of drawing are quite slim.

I know what you're getting at, but it's not going to happen.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas

last game of the season, on a Friday night, and we had to win by 2 clear goals to take the title?

Pat Vegas

maybe 7 out of 9

Let's see what happens to Chelsea.

I am not sure what has occured at City but a heavy defeat on Wednesday and they're in all sorts of ****.

Robbed mind you, a clearer penalty you won't see all season.

And then kicks Terry in the head again.

like the one they suffered against PSG. It clearly affected them yesterday and these hangovers can often last a few games.

I think it's fair to say it's not out of the question that the deficit could be down to 8 points by the end of next weekend.

And then it's squeaky bum time. City, Arsenal, Utd and Liverpool all a little bit up their arses.

I think they have given themselves enough of a cushion to see it out. Yesterday was a tough game against good opposition, as we know.

City on the other hand I think have royally f**ked up and their form hasn't been right for much longer. They could end up in a very messy fight even for top 4.

fact we're probably getting knocked out. Remember our performances in the immediacy of the first leg? We had to drag ourselves through games against dross like Leicester and QPR.

As I said earlier, the impact of defeat tomorrow has already been mitigated.

He was a late starter and had heard all his mates talking about doing it, so was keen to give it a try. But he got stage fright and so I did what any best friend would do - offer reassuring words at a time of need.

He's about to have his second child, so I couldn't have done too much harm to his sexual identity.
