Last night I made a prawn and rice dish. A couple of minutes into the meal, my girlf asked how I

defrosted the prawns and when I said in the microwave, she literally spat it out and shoved all her prawns onto my dish, leaving her essentially with a bowl of rice.

I am, of course, fine, though I am aware that anecedote is not the plural of data.

What's wrong with defrosting prawns in a microwave, other than accidently starting to cook them and therefore f**king up their taste/texture, anyway?
