opening up the massive European fault line that is the Second World War. Won't do them any good, of course, but it's still good fun watching everyone look a bit embarrassed.

You'd think they'd be prepared to try a little humility. After all, the Krauts can stiff them firmly in the arse, should they so wish.

One wonders just how much Russian influence might be involved...

However, I do think it's worth bearing all this in mind next time someone starts mouthing off about us still being obsessed with WWII, since this is clear evidence that so's everyone else, they just aren't as open about it as we are. It's always just beneath the surface, though.

I'm amused by the idea of the Greeks repatriating their art treasures from Germany, though. How exactly do they plan to do that? Roll a van up to the back of the Pergamon Museum? :hehe:
