the old fart thought i was being insulting! yesterday as I was leaving the office he was chatting to the lady bookkeeper and was going on a bout his new Jag , lovely shape , engine blah blah..then he said he thoguht it looked best from behind..

as I walked past I said "your mum looks best from behind" :hehe: now looking back..he's probably late 50's / 60..so his mum may not look great from any angle as probably pushing up daisys.. but a complaint ?! old cock

This is always a potentially serious error, tbh.

Besides, he drives a Jag. We all know what uptight, status anxious ****ers they are.

and he supposedly once told the book keeper woman at an office party a few years back before I joined that him and his wife are/ were swingers.. :puke: .. hes sort of a weird , meek , oddball.. and I was also having a go at him for not working out my commission properly.. so yes he's a**** ..hes external and only comes in couple of times a month. MD just said best I try and do offsite visits when hes next in :-)

Unless one is vaguely aware of the whole "your mum" genre of comedy I can see how he may have been a little annoyed.

I've had complaints lodged before for simply offended people never mind their dear and possibly departed mothers.

So close to Mothers Day as well.

Do we know what p is driving these days, btw? Obviously, it can't be the Rover, since it must be long dead.

I don't think there's much of a processing phase between him thinking something and it coming out of his gob.

By the way, I was reminded last night that I saw a pic of you and E when she was little on your glw's Flickr stream and I had absolutely no idea when it would have been taken.

I was in a restaurant and you were wearing a dark jacket with epaulettes. Any memory of this?

We went for lunch there for some reason.

She must have been jolly young then.

Berni

She'd have been seven, I guess. Blimey. It's a lovely pic, though.

She looks awfully cute, I must say.

Unless you're combining them with a military uniform and dark glasses in a mid-period Gadaffi stylee, and crucially are also a dictator of a wealthy african state, then surely this cannot be acceptable sartorial behaviour.

Did you wear your medals too?

Hats make me look retarded, it's a sad fact.

I could be looking like John Hamm, sharp as you like, drop a hat on my head and I will look like Benny from Crossroads.

In the case of such excellence one can even forgive the fact that it's a pun.

Jack would have loved that one. Once he'd had it explained to him.

Stephen looked sharply round, saw the decanter, smelt to the sloth, and cried, "Jack, you have debauched my sloth."

As I recall, it doesn't end well for the sloth. :-(
