In fairness, I imagine they f**king are given what he must have made them over the years.

Without wishing to speak ill of the dead (but here goes anyway) I could never really get past the hat, I must say. The beard was bad enough, but the hat just screamed 'c**t' at you, didn't it?

Just as I'd got into him, as well. There I was looking forward to him finally delivering the Civil War Flashman book he'd been teasing us with for years and the old f**ker goes and dies. Bloody selfish.

Granted, some of them were wearing silly hats, but his best characters were a copper and a conman.

I'm having major anxiety about what to order in Hawksmoor tomorrow.

Porterhouse for two? 1kg jobby?

We shall see about that, my eytie chum.

I have, however, decided that no sauce is ever required with a good steak. In fact, the only reason it's traditionally provided is to conceal the poor quality of the meat.

Berni

I can get down with a bearnaise, mind. Although that's mostly for dipping your chips in, really.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas
03-12-2015, 04:33 PM
English mustard? On a porthouse steak? Just how much of a savage can you be?

Monty91

The beef's ghost cries when you eat it without English mustard. FACT.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas

Look at it.

You have dissed the beef. This is almost as vile as calling my wife a div.

I spit in your general direction.

Monty91
03-12-2015, 04:48 PM
But thank you for pressing home the point

Berni
03-12-2015, 04:49 PM
You wouldn't dream of eating a ham sandwich, a cold sausage or a pork pie without English mustard, would you? The same goes for rare beef. It is written and so mote it be.

That sounds a bit murdery :-(

Berni
03-12-2015, 04:56 PM
A sort of 'Ur Mum' joke, if you will.
